Display Settings



To find out your current display settings and directions on how to change them choose your Operating System.

[Macintosh][Windows][Unix]
Macintosh

1. Select the Monitors control panel from the Apple menu, it may also be called Monitors and Sound.

If you have more that one monitor, a separate Monitors control panel will appear on each display.

2. Click on the resolution you desire in the Resolution section of the control panel.

3. Click on Colors and choose Thousands or Millions from the Color Depth section of the control panel.

4. The new color depth and resolution will be displayed after you select it.

5. Close the Monitors control panel by clicking the close box in the upper-left corner.

6. If the image is distorted, adjust the video controls in the Monitors control panel or on the monitor itself
Windows

1. From the Start menu choose Setting > Control Panels > Display.

2. Click the Settings tab in the Display Properties window.

3. Under Desktop Area, drag the slider until a resolution of 1024x768 (or closest achievable resolution) is shown.

4. Under Color Palette, use the pull down menu and select either High color (16 bit) or higher.

5. Select Apply.

If unsure of the capabilities of your video display, please consult your owner's manual or contact the computer manufacturer to be certain that your computer can sustain 16-bit color at a resolution of at least 800x600.
